Would you be up for a Submissions 101 deal? I'd walk everybody through the entire process, and even post it for reference.Gabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11476963043474402248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5832635475744873557.post-87551999823530285902007-07-29T15:28:00.000-07:002007-07-29T15:28:00.000-07:00I've never published or sent anything to anything....I've never published or sent anything to anything. I think the main reason is, because I'm lost. I haven't the slightest clue as to where (or even how) to submit to anything. It's all very confusing and I'm not sure where to start.Santeyiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01346236974305943166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5832635475744873557.post-50099529235233718462007-07-29T14:46:00.000-07:002007-07-29T14:46:00.000-07:00You're never too old to be published. Once I lost because I didn't follow guidelines, the other... because it was bad. I don't normally do well in contests. I won one, for Writers' Digest Online. Other zines I've failed to succeed in (yet!): Girl's Life, North American Review, Characters, Family Circle, Glimmer Train... oh, these are just a few. I think my average acceptance/rejection is 4/30 or something bizarre like that.Gabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11476963043474402248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5832635475744873557.post-4880070958171811512007-07-29T13:12:00.000-07:002007-07-29T13:12:00.000-07:00Once i submitted a poem to a teen website (gurl.co...Once i submitted a poem to a teen website (gurl.com) and another time for the help section on the american girl website. I was published on both, but i never really thought much about it. I also sent a story to american girl, it was terrible in retrospect but I was still sort of crushed. I guess I always thought the only magazines worth submitting things to was ones that I read. Now I feel like I'm too old to actually get published anyways (which is true if we're talking about american girl).Madelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07161740068088213517noreply@blogger.com
